Introduction
Miroa is proud to present our inaugural Modern Slavery Statement in accordance with paragraph 11(4)(a) of the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act. At Miroa, we are committed to promoting ethical, transparent, and fair practices across all areas of our operations and partnerships. This statement has been approved by the Miroa Board of Directors as of 06/15/25.
In 2023, we took meaningful steps toward strengthening our ethical foundation by beginning the process of aligning with BCorp standards. While we are not yet a certified BCorp, the framework has guided us in evaluating our operations and shaping our approach to responsible business practices. This journey marks a key milestone in our broader commitment to fighting modern slavery, forced labour, and child labour in our supply chains.
The goals of this statement are to:
- At Miroa, we believe that transparency and collaboration are essential to tackling the systemic risks of modern slavery.
- This statement covers the fiscal year 2023, from January 1 to December 31. It forms part of our ongoing risk assessment and highlights key areas of vulnerability. The insights gained from this process will inform our strategy for 2024 and beyond, helping us build a positive impact across our team, our customers, and the communities we serve.
- In accordance with the requirements of the Act, and in particular section 11, I confirm that I have reviewed the contents of Miroa’s Modern Slavery Statement.
